For Growing Musicians

This course is open to all concert band students in the following sections: Piccolo, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Bassoon, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, and Selected Percussion Members.

What You’ll Learn

Explore Major and Minor Scales, Solfege and Aural Skills, Music Theory, Music History and Band Literature. In addition to school concerts, you’ll perform VBODA Grade IV/V music at District Concert Assessment in the spring.

The Details

Students will need to attend two after school rehearsals before each performance. An instructional fee is required. School instruments are available for rental for a fee of $50.00 per school year.
