About Clover Hill High School Band

Clover Hill High School was built on beautiful rolling hills of clover and is located just south of the capitol city of Richmond, Virginia in Midlothian, Virginia. A new high school complex is cur rently under construction located off Genito Road and scheduled to open in 2010.

The Clover Hill High School Band has been designated as a Commonwealth of Virginia Honor Band.

The Clover Hill High School Marching Band, The Marching Cavaliers, have performed in Toronto, Canada; three times in The Bahamas; Paris, France; twice in London England; four times in Disney World; in 2006 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland, and in 2008 New Orleans.

The band program has received commendations for exceptional accomplishments and superior musicianship from the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors and the Commonwealth of Virginia's General Assembly. The Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia has formally recognized the Clover Hill High School Band Program. In his message the governor stated, "The outstanding musical ability and dedication of this band has brought them a richly earned international reputation for excellence." The Clover Hill High School Band has been directed and taught by Mr. Steven P. Conley for the past twenty four years.

We are proud that our band program has earned a very prestigious recognition by the Virginia Band and Orchestra Director's Association (VBODA). The Clover Hill Band is a Commonwealth of Virginia Honor Band!

High School Band Programs in Virginia that receive a Rating of Superior at the VBODA State Marching Band Festival in the fall, and a Rating of Superior at the VBODA District Concert Band Festival in the spring, earn recognition as a Commonwealth of Virginia Honor Band. Very few High School Band Programs across the Commonwealth of Virginia are designated as Honor Bands.
