MRS. BRIANNA GATCH
Clover Hill High School Band Director
Brianna Sklute Gatch holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master’s Degree in Wind Band Pedagogy from the University of Louisville. Prior to her appointment at Clover Hill, she served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the concert bands and marching band at the University of Louisville. She has studied horn under Dr. Patrick Smith and Professor Bruce Heim. Her conducting teachers include Dr. Terry Austin, Dr. Frederick Speck, and Dr. Amy Acklin.
During her first year at Clover Hill, Brianna enjoyed directing the Marching Cavaliers alongside her husband, Mason Gatch, and starting the Clover Hill Pep Ensemble, the “Green Hot Chili Peppers.” This new ensemble attended all home basketball games and performed at the University of Richmond! Clover Hill Guard Staff launched a new Marching Arts program this past November with the creation of the competitive Clover Hill Indoor Winter Guard. Brianna also conducted the Pit Orchestra for the school’s musical production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown!” She has loved every minute of working with such a supportive band family and plans to continue to seek out new opportunities for the program in coming years!
